pray for our leaders

Psalm 72:15
15 Long may he live!

May gold from Sheba be given him.
May people ever pray for him
and bless him all day long.

Here are prayers for King Solomon by his people. We are called by Scripture to ask for God’s blessings on our leaders. I think this is one thing that makes it so difficult to be a disciple. A true disciple lifts up his leaders, those he agrees with and those he disagrees with.

Immature ravings against our leaders, elected or appointed, guarantee that an unbeliever who hears us may agree with us, but they respect us less, and more importantly they respect our faith less.

Pray for your mayor, your governor, the President (or head of state where you live) asking God to bless them all day long.
